Café for Sale
Had enough of the rat race of working 24/7 with no holidays, of working without any recognition from your boss?
If so then here is the deal Well established, gay owned and operated community café to pass on. Located in the cultural heart of Hervey Bay QLD it is only 90 minutes flight from Sydney, 45 minutes from Brisbane and just around the corner from the beach.
Fantastic growth The takings jumped from in the last two business years: from $ 117.000 to $ 154.000, the profit from $ 42.000 to & 61.000. That’s a juicy jump of 50% achieved without weekend work and a 5 day week (Monday to Friday 7.30am to 4pm)!
How does that sound?
The Clients The majority of the clients are staff and students of the local University, the Hervey Bay Art Gallery, the public library and the Kindergarten nearby. About 20% of the takings derive from catering services provided to the immediate precinct and users of the Universities conference facilities.
As the café is located at the Uni in Hervey Bay’s cultural precinct, business is quite predictable throughout the year.
THE FIGURES The current profit of $ 61.000 p.a. provides income for two full time staff on a Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 4pm commitment. Click here for the Profit and Loss details.
So far the café is closed for two weeks from Christmas onwards. As December and January are traditionally very quiet is possible to reduce the staff to one, giving you additional time off to relax and investigate the beautiful Fraser Coast.
GROWTH POTENTIAL The Uni is currently preparing to build another building with state of the art conference and teaching facilities. The number of students is expected to grow by an additional 30%, the conference centre will attract further high calibre clients that will require catering services.
Hervey Bay’s council is in the process of extending its regional art gallery as well as the library and is planning to establish a new community and civic centre just around the corner.
Besides tapping into USQ’s growing client base and the up and coming changes to Hervey Bay’s cultural precinct, the new owner of the café will be able to utilise a newly established catering licence to supply alcohol at functions. Check out our Photo Gallery
